Over time, the skin in our faces naturally loses elasticity, resulting in sagging, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. Dermal fillers are injected into the soft tissue to soften lines and wrinkles, restore facial volume loss, and even plump lips. Academic Alliance has extensive partnerships with all the major filler providers and all dermal fillers are expertly administered by our trained Aesthetics medical staff.
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are a popular cosmetic treatment used to restore volume to the face, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours.
Benefits
Dermal fillers can treat a wide range of issues such as smoothing fine lines/wrinkles, adding volume to sunken areas of the face, plumping the lips, and even restoring volume loss in the back of hands while improving the appearance of veins and tendons.

Before and After
FAQs
How long do the results last?
This depends on a number of factors, including the type of filler you receive, the area treated, and the amount injected. Each patient is unique, but in general dermal filler results last on between 6-24 months. However, this is dependent on the filler and the patient’s reaction to the filler. Please speak with your Injection Specialist to determine how long your results will last.
Which dermal filler do I need?
There are many different types of dermal fillers on the market, with each one formulated to a particular texture, density, and injection depth. Based on what area you are hoping to treat, how dramatic or subtle of a change you want to achieve, and how long you want your results to last, our injection specialists will recommend the perfect dermal filler for your aesthetic goals.
How many units will I need?
As with any injectable, the amount of units you will need will depend entirely on how subtle or dramatic of a transformation you want and how many areas you would like to treat. Your provider will determine how many units are necessary to get the desired results.
Are dermal fillers painful?
We apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area prior to your injection. While it is possible that you may feel a slight pinch, most patients experience no pain at all during their dermal filler injections!
